LC FON

AIESEC (Association internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales) is an international platform that provides young people from 111 countries all over the world to develop their leadership skills, explore new possibilities, meet other cultures and make an impact on the world they live in. Founded in 1948 by group of enthusiastic students, it grew to the world’s largest student organization with over 60000 members.

AIESEC in Serbia was started in 1953, on the Faculty of Economy in Belgrade. Less than 20 countries were members of AIESEC that year. Now, in 2012, there are 9 local committees in 5 cities, and AIESEC Serbia is continuing its development.

FON – Faculty of Organizational Sciences was founded in Belgrade in 1969. and started its work in 1971. Only two years after that, in 1973. there was an AIESEC LC on the Faculty, as the second LC in Serbia. Nowadays, LC FON has around 100 active members working on different projects during year. Some of these projects are social-oriented, and focused on improving the community through education on social issues. Others are focused on expanding professional knowledge, through education on informational technologies and entrepreneurship. There are seven projects LC FON organizes: Open IT, Make It Possible, Life without borders, Seize the day, World in your hand, AIESEC Business Days, CSR New Project.

Apart from projects, LC FON is active in internship program, as the AIESEC most important “product”. From May 2012 up to now we had 24 interns in Belgrade. You can check how they spent their time in Serbia here.
